If you are anything like me you simply do not have the time, the inkling and in some cases the energy to figure out what to cook. Ok let’s be real, and then there are those times when I am just plain old lazy and don’t feel like even thinking about eating because the thought of the effort of cooking is too much. It’s those times that inspired me to create By No Means a Chef. My name is Monique Henderson but everyone calls me “Moe”. I am a single-mom and entrepreneur.
Over the past few years I have been collecting recipe clippings from magazines, the back of cereal boxes, ideas that I find on-line and then there is the occasional time that I call myself recreating what I’ve had at a restaurant. Anyway, I’ve been filing these recipes in between the pages of a cookbook that I rarely use. Please don’t get it twisted, I am not a B. Smith, Martha Stewart, Rachel Ray wannabe. I keep them because they are fast, easy and delicious. After speaking to a number of my friends and family I realized that there are a lot of people like me…short on time, lack the energy to figure out what to cook and yup some even admitted to being lazy. So I figured why not share my collection with others and hopefully grow it in the process.
I hope my show and the site helps you, inspires you and if all else fails entertains you. I welcome your feedback, ideas and encouragement.
